Do you want to copy some text from any window in Windows?

I think you know the Ctrl+C trick that allows you to copy all the text present in the current window, but this tip doesn’t work on all programs!

So the reason why I prefer using Textify to copy text from any opened window and works perfectly on all versions of Windows including Windows 10.

In this short yet useful tutorial you will discover how to copy anything you can see, using your mouse and Textify.

Let’s go!

Copy Text Anywhere with Textify

Demo.

This is a simple demonstration on how you can use Textify in order to copy some text, useful hah?!

How to install and use Textify.

You can download Textify from the official developer’ website: http://rammichael.com/textify

Then launch the setup file textify_setup.exe and follow the old known installation process.

After installing the program you will have to choose a mouse and button shortcut to use when you want to copy the text.

I have used the program to copy some text from this message box generated using this VBScript (save it as Message.vbs) :

x=msgbox("This is a message" & vbCrLf & "from WindowsCollege.com", 1+64, "WindowsCollege.com")

What if I used the Ctrl+C trick? Well… this is the result:

---------------------------
WindowsCollege.com
---------------------------
This is a message
from WindowsCollege.com
---------------------------
OK Cancel
---------------------------

And there you go!

Now you know how to copy text from any place you can imagine, using one simple program, Textify.
