Do you want to create multiple virtual Android devices that run as fast as you wish?
Do you want to test your fresh developed apps in the fly without the need of a smartphone and a USB cable?
Genymotion is literally the fastest Android emulator in the universe, it allows you to run multiple smartphones & tablets at the speed of light using the CPU/GPU acceleration of VirtualBox.
This free program (for personal use) will allow you to launch as many Android devices as your computer can handle, I managed to test multiple apps at the same time.
Genymotion is highly recommended to use with Android Studio or Eclipse and is easily recognized without the need of any extra work.

How to Install Genymotion.
First you need to download the setup file (for this you have to create a free account, you will need it later to be able to download the operating systems on your behalf).
Download your Genymotion copy from this page: https://www.genymotion.com/download/
Then follow the installation process the same way you do with any other Windows program.
Genymotion comes with all the languages you can imagine, in this case I’m going to just choose English.
You can change the destination location to a Flash drive or an external hard drive if you don’t want to fill up the space with lot of virtual devices (you can change path of devices later on), it will still work but you still have to have VirtualBox installed on your OS.
After this continue with the rest of the installation which is simple in our case…
How to Create a Virtual Device in Genymotion.
The interface of Genymotion is really simple and easy to use, you can change some settings like your Account’ license, Network, VirtualBox, ADB and if you want to allow Genymotion to collect usage statistics.
Once logged-in, click on “Add” to create a new virtual device.
Choose your favorite Android Device or a Custom Phone based on your needs, click on the arrow in the left side to watch the device specifications like:
- Android Version
- Screen size – Density
- Memory size
- Number of CPUs
- Data disk capacity
Once you have chosen the device click on “Next” to rename the virtual device.
Choose a name of your choice and click “Next“.
Now Genymotion will download the files of the virtual machine, it shouldn’t take so long and this is what I like the most about this program, it’s just SIMPLE!
Choose your virtual machine and click “Start” to launch it, and boom!
I was able to run all 3 devices on one single machine (I can run more if I want to), you can do lot of testings between theses devices since they are connected to the same network!
If you have any game or application and want to deploy it just drag it and it will be installed and launched for you.
Each virtual device is saved at his current state.
And there you have it, I hope you enjoyed the tutorial. If so don’t forget to share it with your friends
